  • 2 T olive oil extra virgin
  • 1 small head cabbage Green or Savoy
  • 3 cloves garlic minced
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes
  • 15 oz Cannellini Beans drained and rinsed
  • 1/2 cup chicken broth
  • 1 zest lemon
  • Grated parmesan
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  • Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add cabbage and a pinch of salt.
  • Cook, stirring occasionally, for 10–12 minutes until cabbage is tender and lightly caramelized.
  • Add garlic and red pepper flakes; cook 30 seconds.
  • Stir in the white beans, and chicken broth, and cook for 2–3 minutes, until warmed through.
  • Finish with lemon zest, lemon juice, and black pepper. Top with cheese if desired.
